Puke-O-Rama February 2010

If you have a sensitive stomach, do not continue reading.

My mom was kind enough to watch Grant last night so I could go see a movie. I saw Valentine's Day. I loved this movie so much, I'm still thinking about it today. There's one scene that tugged at my heart strings so much I cried on the entire 10 minute drive to my mom's to pick up Grant. So so sweet. I must warn you to take my movie advice with a grain of salt, I like almost every movie I see. I hated Avatar but apparently I'm alone with my hating of the stupid blue people. I don't even want to watch the Oscar's this year. Except that Alec Baldwin is hosting. Long live Jacky D.

Back to my story. My mom greets me at the door with a grinning baby, but tells me he hasn't been able to keep any food down in his little tummy.

This morning, he wakes up and I give him some milk, he pukes all of it up. So gross. Not cute baby spit up, real person puke. It stinks. I get a little worried about him getting dehydrated so I offer him Pedialyte and he drinks a whole cup. He must've been thirsty. We go to my bed and I'm cuddling my sick little guy. Who hates to cuddle. He bounces up, jumps on my face and barfs.on.my.face.in.my.ear.and.in.my.hair.

Now, I had already showered for church, and done my hair, which now has puke in it. No, I didn't shower again, or wash my hair, I just cleaned it with a wash cloth, and went to church. Smelling like puke. Then I went and spent the afternoon with my in-laws still smelling puke in my hair. I just may be the sickest human being ever.

On the bright side, I've been lucky enough to spend some time with these little delights. (Is it okay to post pictures of someone's else's kids on your blog? Mae?) Their mom is Mae. She's such a hipster and she doesn't even know it, that what makes her so hip.

I love this little guy. He plays so well with my boy.

Look at this girl, are you kidding me? She's so so so adorable.

Look what happens when Mommy is in the dressing room?

Mine's the one with his pants falling off.

I love this kid.

I should really stop posting blogs at night, I bet I wouldn't post any of this if it weren't so late.

Sorry about the puke story.

He is Seriously One. Unreal. Plus a confession.

I have to confess something.

I'm sharing my bed with Papa Georgio. He's black. And I love him. He's my new Canon Rebel. I'm just learning how to make him work properly. Does a new kick ass camera mean I'm going to update my blog more? Only time will tell.

I really do sleep with my camera next to me.

Did I really just use the word lover in the title of a blog post? No, because I changed the title.

I'm sorry that these pictures have no order to them. I think they all are self explanatory. Grant's first birthday party at my Auntie's house. Delicious chocolate ganache cupcakes. Cousin Lola helping him open his presents. My mom gave him a walker, it's hilarious. He wants to run but doesn't realize he can't walk yet so this thing is seriously perfect. There was also a big reveal at Kim's tonight. I'll post more on that later. Maybe. First time eating In n Out, he loved it. Well he loved the shake, he packed his cheeks so full on burger then spit it all out, disgusting.

I'm writing these posts really late, 11:25pm, that's late for me. I hope you've enjoyed them. All 5 of you.

Sleeping Baby.

I just love to check on my baby after I lay him down. I don't know if there's anything better than a sleeping baby. Stroking his little cheek, listening to the sleeping breathing, such sweet moments.

I especially love all the positions my baby falls asleep in.
Once I found him asleep on the living room floor when I got out of the shower.

Christmas in Clearfield

Ah Christmas, how I love thee.

We were graced by the presence of Ed this holiday. He only wants to come to Utah to see his friends, but he suffers through a few days with his family. J/k...bff.

Please note the pictures of the brothers, Ryan and Chris. They are both giving me basically the same look but one has love and one has annoyance. Is annoyance a word? Who cares. I'll let you decide who is annoyed by me and who loves me...with.all.his.heart.

We gave Grant binkys this year but surrounded him with wrapping paper from everyone else's gifts and took a picture.
Also, the goodie plates. I love Christmas baking.

Turkey in Texas

Hello? Is anybody there? I know, it's been a while.

Since my last post we've celebrated Halloween, my husband's birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, my birthday, Valentine's Day (my husband actually gave me a card this year!), and my son's first birthday.

Holy. I hope to do a few catch up posts.

Thanksgiving 2009. My husband and I had the privilege of visiting my dad and his wife in Texas. A good time was had by all. My step brother and sister are just delights. While we were there Grant crawled on all fours for the first time. It was like totally exciting. He was army crawling for a really long time so it was fun to see him up on his knees.
I don't know how put these pictures where I want them. Anyhoo, the top picture is Grant wearing Frankie's pilgrim costume. Frankie's the dog.
Next is my papa and his super nice wife, Sue and Grant, of course.
Next is the salt and pepper shakers I obsessed over the whole weekend. Sue gave me my own set for Christmas. Thanks Sue!
My dad carving the bird.
Group shot, counter clock wise, Sue, my husband, my dad, step sister Skyler, step brother Dane, he's sitting next to the glorious bird.
The end.
