Now I'm the one in tears.

Why did I watch the game last night until the very last bloody painful second? Ryan was yelling at the tv, I was giggling at him yelling at the tv. If you don't know Ryan, he doesn't show a lot of emotion. You really have to pry to figure out how he's feeling...unless he's talking about the two things he loves the most the Utah Jazz and me. Ha ha. Seriously, emotion like I have never seen flooded out of him last night. I've always loved to watch the Jazz, but watching games with Ryan is beyond fun. Even if the Jazz are losing, Ryan is still entertaining. I hope they finish things off on Friday night.

Liz and Bob still don't have a name picked out. I do need to inform everyone that she gave birth to a 9 lb baby NAUTRAL. Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, she chose to go all natural. Lucky Jack, the only blondie in the family. I'll post pics as soon as they email me some. I don't know when she'll be updating and she has given me permission to give all the details.

He's arrived!

I don't want to steal my sister's thunder of announcing her new baby, so I'm just informing that he weighs 9lbs and looks like a Rose.

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb

This is the parfum I wore on my wedding day. It is the most delicious parfum on the face of the earth. Next time you find yourself at the fragrance counter and can't decide on what to sample, give it a try. You won't be disappointed. It's pricey, but what good parfum isn't, right?

Anytime now...

My sissie has been at the hospital since 6am this morning to have her baby. I thought number 4 would practically slide out. Not to take anything away from childbirth, it's seriously my biggest fear. I know that pioneer women had babies on the trail then got up and kept walking, I know gazillions of women have given birth in the past, I know that I have been born in a time that modern medicine should give me some comfort, but I am deathly afraid to give birth. More afraid than tsunami's (Liz's biggest fear is a tsunami, maybe I should tell her she lives in the prairie), earthquakes, fires, having a stranger break into my house while Ryan is gone at guard, even petting zoos and they REALLY scare me. Now...what was I saying? Oh yeah, my sister, the hospital and her un-named baby boy, the stubborn little bugger. I wish I could be there with her but I'm not. Boo hoo. I wish her the best of luck! I can't wait to meet my new nephew. I hope I like him as much as I like the other three. Just kidding, I know I'll want to keep him for my own. Maybe I can talk my sister into having a baby for me, hers are just so good looking AND smart. If anyone has ever seen March of the Penguins there's a scene where one penguin is sneaking up on another penguin to steal her baby, I can relate. But what am I thinking, I AM married to Ryan Herschal Garff after all. I just love Liz's kids so much, it's unreal. It's funny how much love we're capable of. I never thought I could love so many people as much as I do. I ramble, I know. I use bad grammar and punctuation, I know that too. Atleast I used the right number of o's in too.

Love ya' sis! Not that you're even reading this.

How I spent my one year anniversary.

Ryan and I had our wedding reception catered by Sugarhouse BBQ, it was fantastic. I planned all year long that we would return on our first anniversary and enjoy ribs, brisket, and of course their greek potatoes. Seriously, that food was so good. I still have people tell me how good the food at our reception was. Anyhoo, about a month ago a man in our ward (I would go into a detailed description of him, but I got in trouble by my husband and my sister and her husband for the description of my co-worker and I offer my sincerest apologies for that rude entry.) so this man has been inviting Ryan and I to dinner for a month and it has never worked out. He cancelled on us because of a family emergency then we cancelled on him because of a viewing I wanted to attend. Every time we rescheduled it had to be for the following Monday, always a Monday. So last Monday Ryan told me it was rescheduled for the 28th. Hmm, that's a familiar date. Oh, our anniversary, of course! I tell Ryan that he has to call and cancel, I refuse to spend my first anniversary at an uncomfortable dinner with people I barely know. Ryan said he would tell him at church that we couldn't go and reschedule for the following Monday. Well this guy got to me before Ryan could talk to him and asked me, in such a sheepish whisper I might add, if we were still on for dinner tomorrow. I wanted to say "No, it's our first wedding anniversary. My husband forgot and scheduled with you. I'm sorry but we'll just have to reschedule for the day after NEVER." Instead I said "Uh, okay. It's just, yeah, tomorrow is fine." We just got home the said dinner which also happened to be a lovely presentation about fire safety where we were told that our house is going to burn to the ground unless we buy their smoke detectors which they wouldn't even tell you how much they cost until they can come to your house and give you a quote.

We made the night worth it, we stopped at Nielsen's Frozen Custard on the way home.

I'm not complaining, simply sharing.

I would also like to point out that my friend Candace is flipping off the camera in the above photo.

Nothing specific.

First, my apologies to Tracy McGrady. I think you're going to be in tears again.

Second, I really want to buy this dress.

It's by Mikarose, they have a lot, well not a lot to choose from, but still, nice and modest dresses.

Third, ma' hubby and I are going on a trip tomorrow and I'm excited. I won't be blogging until I arrive home on Saturday. Not Sunday. Saturday. My husband doesn't want to miss church. I know.

Monk

I've never had cable so I've never seen this phenomenon. Monk has been moved to NBC and I had the viewing pleasure of my first Monk. It was hilarious. Aunt Jackie from Rosanne was on it, she was hilarious also. Geez, I watch a lot of tv when Ryan is out of town.

I just don't know what to do with myself.

I'm so use to doing everything with you, planning everything for two, and now that we're through (or it's just another guard weeked)I just don't what to do with myself. Maybe I'll go to my sisters and bug her. Oh wait, she lives in Iowa. I guess it's Cafe Rio, a couple movies from Red Box, lots of laundry to prepare for our trip, and GAME ONE OF THE NBA PLAYOFFS! Ryan thinks the Jazz are going to lose to the Lakers in the second round, he also thought Memphis would win the NCAA tourney.

Strange, no?

Does anyone else think it's a bit odd that a presidential candidate isn't saluting the American Flag, especially during the national anthem, when this picture was taken? Apparently sometimes he puts his hand on his heart during the national anthem and sometimes he doesn't. Crazy. Click here if you want to read about the picture.

Are you kidding me?

Does everybody know that Cynthia Nixon is a lesbian and this who she has chosen to be her lover? Gross! Isn't there a prettier lesbian in Hollywood or has Ellen Degeneres snatched the only one? I once saw an Oprah with pretty lesbians. Come on Cynthia!

My weekend plans.

Tonight I am going to make some chocolate chip cookies as soon as I get home, I'll be using milk chocolate chips. YUCK, I know. They're what Ryan likes so I do it every once in a while to please my man. Actually this will be my first time using milk chocolate chips. Then Ryan's little brother Chris should be arriving at our house as I'm pulling them out of the oven and we'll be loading in his infiniti to go to Beaver Dam, AZ to escort Ryan's grandmother (as Chris calls her, emphasis on GRAND) back to her summer home in Payson. I already got a substitute for my Primary class, two weeks of not doing a lesson, yahoo for me. I think on Saturday we'll go see this. I'm sure there will a good picture to post, Ryan and his brother like to wear old man jump suits in Beaver Dam. They're such characters. One time we were at Hoover Dam and got separated from Chris and he had to walk two miles to meet us at the car in his jumpsuit. He was channeling Forrest Gump when he ran across the county, wild hair and beard. If you know Chris this story is quite funny. I'm laughing right now. I wish I could write as well as my sister, she has the ability to draw a picture in the mind of the reader. Oh how I miss the folks in Iowa.

It's just been one of those days.

I have really bad hair right now. I get out of the shower put the towel on my hair long enough to brush my teeth and by the time I take the towel off, my hair is dry. My hair is not mostly dead, it's all dead. I stood on the scale this morning and gained 7 pounds overnight. I haven't waxed my mustache in way too long. Then I saw this and felt much, much better.

I hope you all feel better about yourselves as well.

This post is one of the many reasons my husand will be alone in heaven.

Cross your fingers for me.

I really hope this is handled before the 23rd of this month. Ryan and I have tickets with American Airlines to fly to Buffalo to see Niagara Falls and Palmyra two weeks from today.

My graven image

On February 2nd, I became the proud new owner of a GEprofile oven. It's a convection, double oven. The bottom oven is a bake, warm, and store, which goes up to 450 degrees. (A lot of double ovens only warm in the lower oven.) It has a meat probe, you plug the probe into the meat and the oven will display the temp of the meat. The larger oven is on top, most double ovens have the larger oven on bottom. It has so many bells and whistles that I know would be boring to read about. It is stainless steel and I stare at it, worhip it, probably much like they worshipped golden calves in the Old Testament. Ryan will often walk by me and say "Looks like someone has a graven image." I love my oven.

TECH SUPPORT!!

I had the worst dream last night. Ryan had to wake me up becuase my crying woke him up! Has anyone had dreams that are so realistic and so sad that they wake up crying? It was just plain awful.
