Birds and flowers.

I've been hearing birds chirping in the morning, and I'm seeing a few blossoms here and there. In addition, I haven't worn a coat to work this week.

I don't like the beloved Twilight Series. There, I said it. I finished the first two books a long time ago, and I'm just starting the third. It's like a movie I don't like, I'll still watch the whole thing just to see how it ends. I'm sorry.

I would like to remind, inform, whatever, about the lunar eclipse happening tonight, February 20th. If I lived near my dad we would be looking at it for a nice family activity, I think you should do the same.

Who mows the lawn? We both mow the lawn, but he hates it when I do becuase he thinks the neighbors think he's lazy when his wife is outside doing a "mans job".

Who is more stubborn? I hate to call my husband stubborn, but he is.

Who asked who out? He called me out of the blue, he saw me and it was love at first sight.

Who proposed? He did after a month of dating.

Who has more friends? Ryan has more friends, he still has friends from the 2nd grade.

Who has more siblings? He's got me by one. Five kids in his family to four in mine.

Mullets in primary (and cake)

I'm lucky enough to be able to teach the 7&8 year olds in primary. I would never normally post something someone said in a prayer but this is just too good. There is a set of twin boys who don't come to church very often but they happen to be there yesterday. They both have mullets, earrings, and their r's sound like w's. When I asked for a volunteer for the closing prayer they both shot their hands in the air, so I called on one of them. He said, "Please keep this building standing so we can keep coming to chuwch, and please help the poow people to get some money so we don't have to have poow people awound us and so they can buy clothes and food so they don't stawve, and stuff like that." I must be maturing because I didn't laugh outloud during the prayer. Good for me. Maybe you had to be there, but I laughed about it all day yesterday.

I also made a cake that tasted like bondo because Ryan was working on the floors while I baked. It was a real tragedy.

Prime Rib for $4.99?

This weekend Ryan and I headed down south to visit his grandmother. She is the grandma I never had. Not to discredit my own grandmas, but we ARE talking about Irene after all. Two years ago she lost her husband, brother, and daughter all to cancer. I don't think any parent should have to bury one of their children. She also took us to Mesquite for a prime rib dinner, it was on special for $4.99. Mmmm, prime rib. Here she is with Ryan posing infront of her double wide.

I was a lady of leisure for three months. I went to Iowa, Oklahoma and had visitors here from Texas and Iowa. I had dinner ready for my husband every night at 5pm and applied a little make up just prior to his arrival at home after a hard days work. The laundry was always done the bathrooms scrubbed and the bed made. With no kids I could do whatever I wanted. I went to the gym during the day and watched Oprah. However, one of my new years resolutions was to get a job. So I started "networking" and got a job at Ogden Subaru. I'm the title clerk, I process car deals and blah blah blah. I also look at blogs while at work. Here's a picture I took of myself at work last Thursday. I was posing and my phone rang, it was my husband hence the genuine smile on my face.

Christmas in February?

All of my new appliances arrived today! I'm in cooking and cleaning heaven.
Refinishing floor this weekend. Picture soon to follow. Ryan made the comment to one of friends here helping that there are workers like the two of them then there are workers like my wife. We sanded, put in the filler, and that has taken 24 hours (less 5 hours for sleeping) so only 19 hours. Way harder than I thought.
